One of the NHL's most prolific shot-blockers was injured Sunday during a scary looking sequence. Lightning defenseman Dan Girardi left during the second period of Tampa Bay's game against the Detroit Mike Thomas Jersey Red Wingson Sunday after taking a slap shot off the stick Martin Frk to the side of the head. With the Red Wings on the power play, Detroit worked the puck into the circle and onto the stick of Frk. As the Red Tim Williams Jersey Wings forward wound up for a one-timer, Girardi went down to a knee to block the shot, taking it off the side of his head. Detroit forward Dylan Larkin immediately waved to the benches for help. He's appeared in each of Tampa Bay's 41 Isaiah Likely Jersey games, averaging almost 17 minutes of ice time. Earlier in the game on Sunday, Girardi scored his third goal of the season and also added an a Malaesala Aumavae-laulu Jersey sist, his third multi-point game of the season. On Monday, that all tests on Girardi came back negative, and he's considered day-to-day.
